Release notes

Welcome to Grammar Studio 1.0 Release Notes. The Grammar Studio development tool is designed to help you visualize, edit and create W3C compliant XML Speech Grammar tags for use with any speech system that supports the SRGS (Speech Recognition Grammar Specification). Grammar Studio is a companion tool to an already existing development platform.

System Requirements

Sun Java systems Java language 1.4 or higher. Grammar Studio does not come included with the java runtime install. You are required to download the install from Java.com. The jar file can be downloaded separately from GrammarStudio.com.

Hardware Requirements

The following is a list of the minimum and recommended hardware.

Processor 300 MHz or better Intel® Pentium® II processor or equivalent
RAM 96 MB of available random-access memory (RAM)
(128 MB recommended)
Disk Space 275 MB of available disk space
Monitor 800x600 resolution color display or greater
(1024x768, millions of colors recommended)

Setup

Installing Grammar Studio 1.0.

Grammar Studio is a java run-time executable that runs on any platform that supports the java virtual-machine. There are two versions available for download: Self-extracting java ".jar" file and an installable Microsoft® Windows executable.

Instructions for (exe):

Step 1: Accept the license agreement

Step 2: Verify user information

Step 3: Select Shortcut Folder

Step 4: Select the Installation Folder

Step 5: Verify Installation

Step 6: Complete installation

Usage

Using Grammar Studio

The Grammar Studio workspace contains the Toolbar Menu, Export/Import Menu, Property Windows, Creation Wizard, XML Tree viewer and Print. Grammar Studio makes an excellent compaion to Voice Web Studio. For more information about Voice Web Studio, visit www.voicewebstudio.com.
