VANGUARD Player plays back the text from a document using the Text-to-Speech (TTS) engine of your choice while empowering the listener with navigation controls and extra features (such as word spelling) by using simple voice commands and best of breed speech recognition technology.

Voice Commands
Persons accessing Voice Document Files enjoy the option of listening to entire documents from beginning to end or interrupting playback at any time to control the location, the speed, and the volume of the text that VANGUARD Player reads back.

Navigation Controls
Where am I?	Announces the current position within the document
Where was I?	Announces the previous position within the document
Go to destination	Skip forward to exact destination* ("Go to section five")
Go to last destination	Skips to the final destination* ("Go to last sentence")
Jump Back	Go back to the last position before jumping
Back destination	Go back number of destinations* ("Back three paragraphs")
Jump Forward	Undo jumping back from the previous position
Forward destination	Go forward number of destinations* ("Forward two sections")
Repeat	Repeat the current text area
Repeat destination	Repeat current destination* ("Repeat sentence")
Start over	Go to the beginning of the document
Pause / continue	Pause reading or continue playback
